As an ex-gamer, I can say that the CTFs for me are like games. The friendships formed and the idea of teamwork give me a sense of belonging somewhere that every game can. Moreover, they are giving me the opportunity of learning and practising hacking and even practising report writing.
My experience with CTFs
UTCTF (2021)
Ben Roxbee Cox and I came 129th on UTCTF (weight of almost 38 on CTFtime), out of almost 700 teams! This is my first CTF, and it is so inspiring that two first-year university students went so far. For more info, you can check out Ben's writeups on the CTF.
